Sooooooooooooooooo..........................................Have y'all ever heard of
The Intrepid Thread?
Well if you haven't it's this AMAZING online store that is owned by the AMAZING Julie! I absolutely L-O-V-E this store and Julie! She goes ABOVE AND BEYOND with her customer service. I've never experienced that kind of customer service ANYWHERE else! You ask a question, and she's ON IT! I've never EVER had to wait and wait and wait and wait on an answer! Her prices are great, her fabric is top of the line! And her shipping? Well, let's just say we live A LONG WAYS away from each other, and it takes like 3 days to get here EVERY TIME! It's always wrapped up in a cute little package and ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS comes with a HANDWRITTEN note from JULIE! She makes me feel like my transaction means something to her. Which to me, is important. I don't want to be dollar signs to someone, I want to be a customer. And she values her customers and you can tell it! (No she did not pay me off to say any of this I PROMISE!!!)
So, the reason I'm telling you about this....
Do you like this fabric? Most of it is from the line Lillybelle. (WHICH I LOVE) How would one of you like to have some? I know I would LOVE TO! Well, Julie is going to let one of my followers/readers have the chance to WIN this beautiful bundle she put together JUST FOR THIS POST! (SEEE???? I told you she is AMAZING!)
Now, the rules
#1 you do have to be a follower of mine
# 2 you have to answer me this, (if you don't answer the question your entry will not be valid!) When you first started quilting what helped you the most? (my answer to this would be the quilting blogging community, their tutorials, and advice, they gave me the inspiration to keep on going!!!!)
If you want a bonus entry, you can over to The Intrepid Thread and tell me which fabric you LOVE and why you love it (seperate comment)
If you want another bonus entry you can go to The Intrepid Thread's blog and become a follower of Julie's and then leave me another comment telling me you did/are!!!!!!
So, that gives you THREE chances to win this GORGEOUS bundle of fabric! THREE!!!!! Easy Peasy huh? (you do have to be a follower of mine to enter the giveaway!)
If you are a no reply blogger please make sure I have a way of contacting you in your comment!

My first quilting class was how to cut and use a rotary cutter, getting the grain of fabric and how and why you should always square your blocks - knowing the right way set a course that has taken me a long way. I always advise others to take that initial class. Judy C
I'm a follower of your blog! What helped me the most when I got started .... is taking a beginner's class. I learned so much. It definitely took me from an intimidated beginner to a confident beginner. We not only conquered the basics, but made many types of star blocks. Half-square and quarter-square triangles, LeMoyne stars with Y seams, etc. The fabrics for the giveaway are really pretty. Thanks to you and Julie for making this possible.
great blocks my dear...love your bow....and what helped me when I first started quilted is great tools...I searched for the best and it made it much easier for me..
Your blocks are fantastic! I would never know you were a beginner. Taking a quilting class at my LQS is what helped me the most when I started out less than 2 yrs ago. After that, the online community and my local Modern Quilt Guild has been a source of reference and inspiration.
I love The Intrepid Thread and I subscribe to their newsletter. My favorite fabric at The Intrepid Thread that I need to purchase is some Essex Linen. I am so glad she is starting to carry that.
Love your dots :) Fun to hop with you.
Blog land has been the most Valuable tool for me. I've learned so kuch and so much inspiration from everyone.

I am a new follower.
Great blocks. the polka dot is fun.
Answer to your#2 question:
I started quilting 1999 so they are not hardly anything on the internet back then for quilters. What helped me most was joining a quilt guild. The show and tell was very inspirational and I could ask anyone any question I had about quilting. Plus I got to hear some great speakers who I learned from. google quilt guilds and you might fined one in your area. There are lots of Modern quilt guilds springing up all over too. I just joined one in my area.
I love Intrepid thread and am a follower.
You did a fantastic job on your blocks. I started a little over a year ago. I would spend hours pouring over tutorials on blogs.
What helped me the most was my grandmother. Next came a great lady at the only quilt shop in the area ( now closed). Finally, my dad who told me that I could achieve whatever I set my mind to. Without those three people and the magazines, I would not have started quilting. Now I continue to quilt b/c of encouragement from guild members and quilting friends.
I love the Dear Stella - Campgrounds: the reason, my grandma's name was Stella and I love to camp.
I'm a follower.
Congratulations on your 50th post and blog! I took a beginning quilt class at a local quilt shop which helped me tremendously. Also, the Fons and Porter quilt book. Everything you want and need to know!
I love her blog (The Intrepid Thread) and have been a follower for a while.
I adore the Piccadilly Circle line of fabrics at The Intrepid Thread.
Wow, you put together so many blocks for the hop! I posted yesterday for my first hop too. I really like your bow tie block. I haven't tried that pattern yet, but maybe I'll join along with the beginning quilters link you posted. When I first started, I think both my mom and my seam ripper helped me the most. She really taught me how to do everything and my seam ripper helped me strive for perfection. :) Thanks for sharing and I look forward to seeing what you do next as I'm now a follower too!
Love your blocks! The thing that helped me the most as a new quilter was doing Saturday Sampler blocks at Sauder Village. They taught me a lot of the basic things that help me today.
I've found all the online tutorials and videos most helpful! Also, my library has a lot of quilting resources too!
I like the "Nursery Versery Piggies" prints! I can't decide which color is cutest! Pink maybe!
I first started quiltinig back in the 90s and I learned everything from a book - I just read and studied the illustrations until I figured everything out. I was pretty successful, but lost interest after one quilt and a wallhanging. My "re-birth" as a quilter has been aided trementdously by the online blogging community -- there is a tutorial for everything!! Thanks for the giveaway chance!
I'm following Intrepid Thread now too!
My favorite fabric at Julie's right now would have to be Lucy's Crab Shack, but I love LillyBelle, too!! Thanks for the chance to win!
I love the cheery dots on your beautiful blocks. They didn't have the fantastic blogs or the easy tools when I started quilting back in the early 70s, but my inspiration came from my grandmother's quilts and my love of math!!!!
I ama happy follower of Julie's blog, too. Thanks for the bonus entry.
I am a follower of Julie's and, like you, I love her service.
I would say what helped me most was reading different quilting books. I started out making scrap quilts (from fabric that I had made clothes with) that were just same sized squares sewed together randomly. These are still my families favorite quilts. Thanks for the great giveaway.
I'm a new follower, lovely bundle
I already follow Julie/intrepid, I drool over ALL her bundles.
When I first learned how to quilt, I really didn't think I'd get into it, but then soon afqter that- well maybe a year or so, I was hooked. I didn't do blogger back then.
We moved to a small neighborhood in the country and I found out one neighbor was a quilter, another was a sewer-became a quilter, and the 3 of us just inspired each other and traded patterns for a while. Now I long arm quilt also as a "business" and design patterns, I'm ADDICTED!! my all time favorite beginner pattern was Yellow brick road... I made a TON of quilts from that pattern, super easy with 6 FQs and optional border fabric.
I'm a follower. I think the online tutorials helped the most!
I am following you. When I first started quilting, what helped me the most is that every night when I went to bed, I pulled up to my chin a quilt my grandmother and great-aunt had made for me. Generational motivation! As years passed and I kept learning more and more about quilting, I would tuck my sons in at night with quilts my mother (THEIR grandmother!) had made for them!
When I first learned to quilt I joined a group of ladies who meet once a week. They have encouraged and guided me these last 3 years and I have learned so much from them. I love your blocks, especially the pinwheels and bow tie.
I signed up to be a Julie follower and activated my subscription.
Oh my, those polka dots are just too cute--nice job on the blocks!
I love the Art Gallery Fabric that Julie carries. The colors are amazing and I love the way they feel. :-)
I have become a follower of you blog.
Great blocks - love the pinwheel one. Thanks for sharing.
I'm a new follower and am looking forward to getting to know you better.
I'm already a follower of Julie.
I first started quilting fifteen years ago, from a book published in black and white with lines drawings. I couldn't possibly tell you the title of it now...
The online quilting community wasn't as nearly developed back then, and even if it had been, I just didn't have access. So, I was helped along by being fearless. I didn't look at an illustration and think, 'That's way too hard!' In fact, my first large project was a hand-pieced, hand-quilted Double Wedding Ring.
I think that attitude has stuck with me, and really kept me going, because I watch the flow of ideas online and find myself evolving and trying new ideas and challenges, rather than limiting myself and my skill set.
I first learned to sew and quilt from my mother at a very young age. However, over the past several years I have gotten a lot of help and inspiration from our local quilt guild.
P.S. I'm a follower!
I love your blocks, I am a follower. When I first became a quilter what helped me the most was joining a quilt guild and meeting other women who quilted. One women Carolyn Burgess had a beginners quilt class at her home and I got to meet other women and we have been hanging out every since until we started our own Quilting Bee and we learn from each other. Now I am going to head on over to The Interpid Thread.
I'm also following The Intrepid Thread's blog.
My favorite fabric at Intrepid Thread is GoodLife Dots in the MULTI colorway. I love dots.
Nice blocks!
I'm a follower.
What helped me most was a. taking a beginners quilting class, and then online references. There is a lot more available now. Also working my way through samplers forced me to try things I might not have otherwise.
Hi! I've just started to follow your blog. It's nice to see that even someone new to quilting will take on the challenge of posting in a blog hop. Great Job on your blocks!
in stitches
I just popped over to The Intrepid Thread, and am totally in love with Bukhara - Stencil Floral in Yellow.
I'm still experiencing an obsession with pure, clear yellow, and it shows!
Kelie,
Like you I am a Nurse and making my very first Block for this Blog Hop. Who can ever refuse the Big Heart of Madame Samm!! I Love your Blocks and the fabric is fantastic!!
Huggs, Nancy
I'm a new follower and the most helpful thing to me (who is JUST starting quilting) are picture tutorials - lots of places assume everyone knows what things are but for me being new I like the lots of pics and easy steps tutorials
I love the Shore line for all of the cute designs. So fun.
I follow julies blog (intrepid thread)
Hello again ... I think the thing that helpped me the most when I started to quilt was a few good books and an aunt of a friend of mine .... back then in the area I was in I did not know many that quilted. I have learned a lot along the way from books magazines classes friends and blogs.... Always keep learning....it's sew much fun
in stitches
i really love the dress up days and pretty little things collections
I first started quilting when I found a new quilt shop a mile down the road from my job. Then I went to a quilt retreat and met an amazing group of ladies who helped me make my first ever pieced mystery quilt. Then I joined a bi-weekly quilt group that just gets together and works on whatever. They always like to impart their knowledge when I get stuck.
I am a follower. Congrats on the 50th post and the first ever hop. I love hops because I get to find all sorts of new blogs.
I already follow Julie. I love her shop and shop there way too often for the benefit of a good balanced budget. I keep skimping on food so I can buy more fabric.
I lover Julie's It's a Shore Thing fabric. I have been planning on make a beach backgroud quilt and this fabrics will help with the plan.
Kelie, I love your blocks! I love red, white, and blue anyway, but I really do like these blocks. You are doing a great job. Keep it up. I am a new follower!
Thank you for the give away and I have joined The Intrepid Thread blog.
I forgot to answer your question: What helped me most was reading quilting books, watching you-tube videos, and reading blogs, watching tutorials and finding an awesome quilt group who helps me.
I'm a follower! What helped me most when I started quilting was my quilting friends! We started a bee with the women who were in the quilt class I took - and we're still a bee 20 years later! Love your blocks! Samplers are the BEST was to learn all kinds of skills! Thanks for sharing and the chance to win!
I also became a fan of The Intrepid Thread on Facebook! I love the Vintage Modern fabric on her site. Thanks for the giveaway!
I think what helped me the most was my online communities. i was able to ask questions, get tutorials, share my ups and downs, and help others. Being a part of an online community is very motivating and keeps me going.
Thanks for the giveaway!
Loving the red blue and white blocks!! Love your giveaway too! I am follower #101! When I first started it was the quilt-alongs that kept me motivated and seeing what other yummy things people could do with fabric that got me hooked!!
Your blocks are great thank you for sharing.
When I started quilting reading every book I could get my hands on about quilting helped me a great deal.
I follow Intrepid Thread and love what they sell. They are very generous and wow what a giveaway!!
I've been over to Intrepid Thread and am LOVING the new Crab Shack fabrics - so cute and quite versatile!!!
Love the dots! Reading quilting books helped me a lot. Also I found talking to quilters at different shows, getting tips from them and even visiting quilt shops was a great help for me. The ladies there were always ready to answer my questions.
I've been sewing for 60 years and quilting for 2. I think my sewing background helped me the most. I already understood fabric and colors. I've been a blogger for 6 years, and quilting bloggers are a great resource.
I quilted for a few years before I took a class. I learned a lot from magazines and library books. I am sure taking the class was helpful, mostly I enjoyed sewing with other people and learning new blocks.
I follow Intrepid Thread!
Over at Intrepid Thread I am loving the Chevron collection.
Forgot to mention in previous post that I am a follower of your blog!
I follow Intrepid Thread's blog.
When I first started quilting there wasn't an online anything. Ok, that's an exaggeration, but computers weren't super common in homes and thecinternet was just for scientists and the military! Thank god that changed! So my biggest teacher was books and I still live to curl up with a good one.
I follow Julie's blog.
I love the new line from Erin mcmorris. Actually I have a bundle of it coming to me from Julie. Unfortunately crossing into Canada slows everything down, do I have to wait about 2 weeks rather than 3 days.
Started quilting 5 years ago..started with classes, books and then the quilting blogs came alone..I'm going to hop over to Intrepid Thread and take a look..Love you polk a dot blocks..Great blog hop
Just followed your blog. LOVE IT! My grandma transformed old clothes into BEAUTIFUL quilts. The piecing was done by machine and the rest was entirely by hand. I tried to learn to quilt by reading, but ended up taking a beginning quilting class from my local quilting shop. I learned A LOT! Now, I'm kinda hooked. I love the blogs and tuts online!!
WOW! Love The Intrepid Thread site! Had to add it to my favorites. If I had to choose my fav fabric in the Lilybelle line it would have to be French Sampler in Rose. A very nice collection! Now, must go look at all her collections ...
Cute blocks & yes, Julie is the best!!
When I started quilting many years ago I got lots of pointers from my MIL and I read lots of books and magazines. Many of my projects were "educational experiences" -- some more successful than others!
WOW - thanks for heading us over to The Intrepid Thread! A GREAT site! I also checked out her blog! I signed up for her email list so I get all her info! THANKS!!
It's hard to pick just one favorite fabric from Intrepid Thread because Julie always seems to have the latest and greatest fabrics out there. But today I am loving Serenade - Foliage in Sienna by Kate Spain. In addition to being a fan of most things Kate designs, I like this one because it makes me think of fall and cooler weather which is nice in the 100 degree heat!
I follow Julie's blog.
Me again! I loved ALL of the fabric at Intrepid Thread - but I guess my favorite is Alpine Wonderland! Two of my grandparents came to the USA from the Alps - Asiago, Italy to be exact - so that REALLY spoke to me! Thanks for the chance to win! Back to TIT (whoa the intials are tit?!) to check out the fabric and the SALE!!!
Just followed The Intrepid Thread's blog. And she's having a sale! WOOT WOOT!!
I am a new follower.
I have a sister who quilts, and she was my "dumb question" answer person.... and I read lots of blogs and got tutorials to learn how to quilt and make blocks. I printed the tutorial out to put beside my cutting mat, so I could see the steps as I went along.
thanks for the giveaway chance!

The best thing that helped me when i first started quilting 20 years ago was becoming a member of Quiltnet-a listserv quilt guild. It was how I learned to quilt. BTW I love the polkadot block!
I follow Intrepid Thread!

I love the Intrepid Thread! She is so sweet! I love LilliBelle!
The thing that helped me the most was joining a beginning quilt class, then a quilting class, then a binding class. If I hadn't had instruction the whole way I would have given up on my first quilt.
I follow the Intrepid Thread.
My favorite line, well I just ordered the flying free bundle last night, so I would say that right now. :-)
Your blocks are wonderful, love the pinwheels. When I started quilting I was told to measure twice and cut once. I learned that my rotary cutter and rulers are my best friends :)
Happy quilting!
Thank you for the chance to win such an awesome giveaway.
Bella - Tipu in Poppy is so cute! from Intrepid Thread

I am a follower of the Intrepid Thread.
I am now a follower. What helped me the most when I started out was taking classes at my LQS. There were no blogs or tutorials when I started quilting.
I used Cluck Cluck Sew and Crazy Mom Quilts to learn to quilt. I also paid a lady in my neighborhood to teach me how to bind. It cost $10 and was worth ten times as much.
I am a follower of Intrepid Thread.
My favorite fabric is Wrenly Christmas on Janes site, I'm also a new follower of both your sites!
I just ordered some fabric from her yesterday during her July 4th sale. I love the little cardinal fabric for Christmas. That's what got me started, but of course I added other fabrics, too;)
Alpine Wonderland in green is my favorite fabric right now. Of course tomorrow it will be something totally different.
#1 I am a follower of your bloggie
#2 What helped me the most- other Bloggers! and YOUTUBE! totally..I learned so much from other bloggers-that paper peicing is a lot easier than I though, that quilting is easier-than I thought - it takes a lot of patients. i've only made 1 quilt but-I cherish it so very much and I really don't plan on making more for myself only because my husbands mother makes handsewn quilts! She made one for our bed-A KING!- talk about patients! I quilt smaller items-handbags and things..Love sewing! Happy for you on your 50th post! Not to mention balancing i'm assuming- a crazy life- YOU GO GIRL!
#3-I follow the Intrepid Thread..that is where I found the giveaway and your bloggie!
I signed up to be a follower. The answer to your question is I started to quilt in 2001 when simply quilts was on tv. I was taping all the episodes and referred back to them when I needed help.
I am also a customer and follower of Julie's. Thanks for the giveaway!
I do follow you, Kelli
My mother-in-law taught me to quilt; if it hadn't been for her....I would not be doing what I do today!!! Now it is my blogging friends.
I follow The Intrepid Thread...how I found this...and thank you so much.
It is so hard to pick one line...but I'll choose Serenade this time...I love all of it!!
Am a follower; I guess at the time I started quilting, I picked up what I needed to know (I already knew how to sew) from looking at some quilting books. Thanks for chance to win! (EMAIL: marshudson at comcast dot net)
I love the polka dot fabric you used in your blocks. I'm a new follower.
Do new followers count? I'm still pretty new at it, but what has helped me the most is getting is just doing. I love the inspiration I find from bloggers too
I agree with you about Julie's customer service; I'm a (too) frequent customer! I am Julie's follower too; thanks (EMAIL: marshudson at comcast dot net)
One of my current Intrepid Thread favorites is Karma Baby, I just love the color combinations and patterns; it's so sweet. Thanks for chance to win! (EMAIL: marshudson at comcast dot net)
When I was a new quilter, the friendly sharing at my LQS helped me a great deal. Experienced quilters who came to make purchases while I was in the store gave encouraging advice.
I love the Pretty Little Things line at Intrepid Threads.
I already follow the Intrepid Thread and receive their newsletter.
I follow your blog by email. What helped me most was taking a quilting class at a local community college. I learned the basics in a 1:1 environment.
I'm an intrepid thread follower.
Já a muito tempo sigo FIO e July é uma querida, obrigada.

I learned to quilt by taking classes in our local quilt stores, and learned a tremendous amount there, and now if I don't know how it goes, I will go to my supply of books and find an answer there. Thanks for the giveaway. Am a follower.

When I first started quilting, I just picked up a book, found a pattern I liked, and did it. I didn't know about the HUGE quilting community available online.
Thanks for the generous giveaway.
I already follow Intrepid Thread's blog.
i AM A FOLLOWER , I TOOK A BEGINNER CLASS AT THE LOCAL QUILT SHOP. THIS IS A LOVELY GIVEAWAY, HOPE I'M LUCKY THIS TIME..
I love the whole Karma Baby collection at Intrepid Thread. It's so cute, such wonderful color, and the patterns aren't the usual cutesy stuff you find on baby fabric.
WEll, I learned to quilt way before home computers...I'd have to say that instructional books were of the greatest help to me! Thanks for the chance...and LOVE that fabric!
Forgot to say that when I first started quilting it was a dear friend who pushed my button! Now I am the Queen of fabrics and notions.
I checked out Julie's Intrepid Thread, and wow what great fabric, love it all. Making travel pillows for the Grands, so Dress Up Days is going to be ordered,
I just started quilting a few months ago as an outlet for all my stress and frustrated creativity - I have 2 small children and 1 more year of nursing school to go. I learned how to quilt, and get inspiration from the awesome online quilting people! Love your blocks - perfect for the 4th!
I enjoyed your block parade. You did a lot of work. I read a quilting message board almost daily. It's amazing what you can learn from these boards. Also I love to watch youTube videos. I am a follower.
Just joined Julie's blog! Thank you for having a giveaway, and love your choice of fabric.
Good question When I first started, there was no one to ask for help, but I used to think that sewing was "playing" with the sewing machine, and that attitude of fun is what keeps me making quilts. Now, my inspiration often comes from reading blogs and studying tutorials.
I am a follower of Julie's blog.
I'm a follower. Taking a beginning quilt class is what helped me the most. Thanks for the great giveaway!
I am a follower. When I first started quilting I also started blogging. What helped me most was all those that encouraged me and helped me and gave me advice. With out all of that I would not have made it this far.
http://richardquilts.blogspot.com
I LOVE It's a Shore Thing - especially the sunglasses on the blue background. Thanks!
I'm a follower of Julie's blog, too. Thanks!
Happy Hop Day and Happy 50th post! You do not look like a beginner to me! I just love your blocks and especially your choice of fabrics. Wonderful job for a first hop so keep on playing!
I'm a follower of the Intrepid Thread blog.
I love the Guising set (so much that I bought it--I rarely buy full sets).
OMG this fabric bundle is SCREAMING My name I soooo love it!!
I am a new follower :)
And to answer your question...when I first started quilting what helped me....in all seriousness.....I started looking thru blogs and actually ran across Intrepid Thread. I emailed Julie and she so graciously helped me and got me started and answered questions for me that helped me tremendously. I will always be so grateful to her for that
I am a new follower and I love your blocks!!!! I am a new quilter and the MS Spring hop got me really excited and I started on a quilt!!! Internet provides most of what I need to learn!!!! I am following the bqal too and hope to be able to join in soon!!!! Thanks for the give a way!!!!
I started working in a quilt shop a couple of months after I started learning to quilt. I was there late nights watching classes be taught and people sewing. That, plus my mother-in-law who got me started, was invaluable for learning techniques as a new quilter.
I'm a new follower (always looking for more craft/sewing blogs!) and even though I'm not a quilter (I sew dolls and animals, not quilts--yet!) I've found that blogs/blogging really keeps me excited about what I'm making (and makes me want to take my time and perfect my skills, since I'll be showing it off on my blog).
My favorite line at the Intrepid Thread (also my favorite online shop, serious LOVE it!) is Flying Free. I'm tackling a HUGE project with it right now.
And I am already a follower of the Intrepid Thread which is how I found out about you. =)
Your blocks are fantastic and I just adore the fabrics you've chosen!I'm a new follower to your blog and shop frequently at the Intrepid Thread too! I just love Julie and her online store! Thanks for the awesome giveaway! I've only been quilting about 3 years and am self-taught. I found the most helpful thing for me is all the information available online - tutorials and have also taken some Craftsy online courses! I also love visiting the Moda Bakeshop for all of the wonderful information, tutorials and free patterns!
I love those polka dots! I am a few follower in reader. thanks!
I am a fairly new quilter and my local quilt shop and the online tutorials from people really helped me! thanks!
I love Julie and her shop - right now I love the new It's A Shore Thing!
I am a follower of Julies blog also!
I forgot to mention congrats on your 50th post!!!! I just did some shopping yesterday at the Intrepid Thread and ordered the It's A Shore Thing full fat quarter bundle! I've been wanting that collection for awhile! I think my next fave would have to be the Dress Up Days collection and also Bukhara!
I'm a new follower! So happy I stumbled on your blog via the Intrepid Thread! I think that the thing that helped me the most when I started sewing was pinterest! it was easy to find great tutorials and fabulous blogs!
I follow Julie on the Intrepid Thread! Love her blog :)
Actually, I've sewed forever but my DIL got me into piecing, FMQ and the whole quilting scene. Then blogs have opened my eyes to so much more. Finally I did get involved with our local guild and have attended several classes and retreats. But if it hadn't been for Happy Quilting Melissa, I wouldn't be doing what I'm doing today.
The fabric line that I am loving right now is It's a Shore Thing - Fat Quarter Bundle Sand and Navy
So cute and would be perfect for a boys quilt :)
Thanks for the chance to win some beautiful fabrics!
Love your blocks, and congrats for trying your hand at the sampler. I follow IT and get Julie's newsletter.
Right now I'm lusting over Julie's Bukhara collection. Thanks.
I love your blocks! They are all sew fun. I want to learn the bow tie.
I started quilting because my sister encouraged me to read Madame Samm's Sew We Quilt blog during the Wantobe Quilters Campaign. I learned sew much from all the wonderful ladies there.
I am a new follower.
I am a beginner too, I did as you are doing, I found a blogger and followed them daily and did all the tutes! I also found a beginners book and joined my local Modern Quilt Guild, there is alot of help and support there. I even learned to Long Arm quilt for free. I will follow you and let you know how it goes. thanks
I stumbled on your blog via the Intrepid Thread! Julie has helped me with all my color choices and I know the service she gives, I just called her if I was stumped..
I have to completely agree about Julie at The Intrepid Thread... I browse her online shop every day, looking to plan quilts to make! I absolutely love her customer service, and those handwritten notes are AWESOME!!
I just started following you today, since I was referred to your site by The Intrepid Thread. I have just started quilting in the last two months, and the main thing that helped me to do this were Jenny Doan's youtube tutorials! I took her online craftsy classes too. She made it look doable, and took the intimidation right out of the equation for me! Now I have to say that it is the quilting/sewing blogging community that is helping me to stretch myself!
Hi,
I just subscribed to your newsletter/blog. I am very new to this blogging thing and I am still very unsure of what I am doing, but I want to win this fabric bundle!!!! So, here is what helped me when I started quilting...I am very tenacious and I love instant gratification, so I went looking for quilting books/patterns and found "Trip Around the World" from Eleanor Burns, in it she said you could finish the quilt in a day. Needless to say I left the store with the book and the fabrics and I actually did my first "entire" quilt in a day. From cutting to quilting and binding, everything!!! Doing it all in one day gave me the confidence and resolve to continue quilting, that was over 20 years ago. So keep at it, it is an extremely rewarding activity, relaxing and as a bonus you get to practice your math!!! God bless!

Thanks for the opportunity to win this lovely collection!
I have a hard time deciding which other collections are my favorites, but I guess my top 3 would be Summersville, Mama Said Sew, and Sweet Tea.
I follow Julie!
I just love everything she has there.
When I first started quilting what happed the most was that my seams did not match up cuz I did not measure accuratly.
Love dots in everything. The most helpful for me were other bloggers and lots of tutorials to learn from.

lovely blocks
I am a new follower. I would not have begun quilting without the rotary cutter.
I really like the Vintage Modern collection.
I am a new follower and I am following by email. Cute patriotic blocks! My best help when I was learning to quilt was trial and error...I learn best by 'doing' so needless to say in the early days there was quite a bit of seam ripping [which I hate] great encouragement to match seams, pin and stitch correctly the first time. :)
