A little help.....plus GIVEAWAY!!!!!!

This giveaway is now closed! Thanks to all who entered!

So for all of you that just read my last post, let me "get on with good stuff"!!!!
I am having some problems that I need your help with!!! As some of you all know I have been working on some mini quilts for the girls, and I'm almost completely finished with them!! (YAY!) But I'm having a MAJOR issue with one part of it!
I don't know if you can see it that well, but the BINDING part!!! I get making it, I get sewing it on to the "sandwhich", my problem is once you get it on the entire quilt, but when you get to the end HOW DO YOU DO IT?
I have these big gaping wholes there, and I don't know how to connect the 2 ends! So please, give me some pointers on it!

Now, onto the GIVEAWAY!!!!!! Like I had told you guys I had something really awesome planned, but I've been too busy to make it happen, so I've settled (FOR NOW)! (Yes, that means there is another giveaway in our future, never know when I'll pop one up!)
So for this giveaway the rules are simple:
YOU MUST BE A FOLLOWER!!!! So, if you haven't already move your mouse over and CLICK on the FOLLOW button for me!!!
You MUST answer my question!! (If you don't answer your entry will NOT be counted!)
And for ONE extra entry: SPREAD THE WORD!!! Blog about my giveaway w/ a link back to me and leave a SEPERATE comment letting me know you did and a link to your post!
That's it, pretty simple conditions, huh? One more thing though! This giveaway is only open to US residents! (Sorry to all you internations peeps out there! Just can't afford those shipping charges right now!!!)
So for my question, I want to know, What made you start blogging? Was it a person, did you stumble upon it, a suggestion from a friend, an inspiration???? (and give me more than just 2 words! lol)

Now, what am I giving away you ask? I guess that would be nice of me to tell you huh?
6 Fat Quarters!!! Sorry, no fancy designer or anything! But I think they are pretty! I love brown mixed w/ any color!!!

Now, let me do a re-cap:
As long as you are a follower and you answer my question, you will be entered!
If you want a second entry all you have to do is blog about it, come back and leave me a seperate comment w/ a link to your post! This giveaway will be open until Mon 4/30 at midnight (eastern time)  I will announce the winner on Tuesday!!!!!
Easy-Peasy!!!!!
Good Luck!!!!!!
Psssstttt....if you are going to give me any pointers about binding, please do so in either an email to me at craftnursequilt(at)gmail(dot)com or on a different post! Only giveaway comments on this post please, (it'll make it easier for me!)

I can't enter your giveaway, but the binding issue....you leave some extra length where you start the binding...then you can tuck one end inside the other when you come around to the finish.....hope this helps

I started blogging when I became interested in quilting. I wish I was knowledgeable enough to answer the binding question, but there are tons of great tutorials out there on other blogs.

I just started following you last night and since I just blogged for tonight, I will link you up tomorrow night to get the word out about your give away. For your binding question, you will have to leave some extra length to your binding on both ends at least 2 inches then fold in the other end then cut any extra length. There is a YouTube video with this thing call the binder thingy and Fones & Porter also has the binding tool which I have both. They are great when butting on a binding. I will get back to you about why I became a blogger. If you have time I just wrote a blog on a Blogger's Life and it telles you why I blog. http://theslowquilter.blogspot.com. Hope to hear from you soon.

I started blogging for many small reasons. I needed a way to record my projects and not just with photos. I also joined because my friend did it and she said there were always lots of free giveaways! Thank you for the oppertunity to play!

I started bloggin because I stay at home and do NOT often get out of my house. I am a very social person and kind of got in a slump! I decided to start quilting and I needed help, so I started looking around on the internet. I came accross blogs and decided I would start up, too! I have gotten such great advice and have come very far in one year! I follow you and am glad to have found another newish quilter! :) keep it up!!

I follow you already from the new blogger party :) I started blogging when I found other bloggers on the internet. I realized how useful it could be to keep a diary of my goodness and my badness :) Also, it's fun to share!

Also, since we're both newbies. The character recognition part when I post on your blog is frustrating. I just turned mine off in the settings, but I don't remember how.

Hi, I started blogging recently too. I'm from Malaysia thus can't join in the giveaway but I'm your newest follower. i've stopped by from Rosemary @ The Knitting Quilter.
About the binding, I second Marjorie's Busy Corner as that is the method I use too.
Love the bright colours of your First Quilt top, can't wait to see the finished quilt!

Hey - right off I noticed your font is just like mine on my blog (Coming Soon, huh?) I like it. It looks like my real printing. Is that why you chose it? You are much more ambitious than I am. I just like to buy quilts, instead of make them. have a great time blogging, ~ Renae

I have only been bloging for about 5 months and I started because, I love to write and one of my quilting friends had started a blog and I love to read what she was doing. Then I starting visiting other blogs and I thought that I could do that. I blog late at night because I am so busy during the day with work and grand-kids and it is a way to have a record of what I doing almost like a diary. I chose my name because I am slow when it come to quilting and I collect turtles.

I have you linked up at my blog: http://www.theslowquilter.blogspot.com. Please come on over.

I am a new follower. The GFC button wouldn't display, so did a public follow from the header FOLLOW tab. Blogger tells me:
You are now following Craft Nurse Quilt.

I don't have a blog because AT&T will not provide dsl service to our location. Uploading photos takes forever at the slow dialup speeds and poor quality of AT&T lines. I learned about the quilty blog world when did a google search. It took a long time to become confident enough to follow a blog and leave comments.
Thanks for the giveaway.

I started a blog to help me keep track of the quilts I make. Kinda like an online scrapbook. It has turned into more than that, but I still keep it going like my online scrapbook.

I'm a new follower simply because I find your blog interesting AND because I'm nosey and want to see how the beautiful pink quilt turns out. I love the fq's you're giving away I can see them being part of a lovely quilt. I can't be in your GA I'm in the UK but I've found a blog which I'll enjoy following so I'm a winner anyway.
I started blogging by chancing upon a vintage blog and it went from there. I came to your blog through Made with love by Mary who I came across from Sew many ways blog. See it goes on and on and before long you have a fantastic circle of blogs to enjoy.

I see your question has been answered re the binding so will follow you by email too so I don't miss seeing the quilt when you finish it.
