A little about ME

I wanted to give you guys a little background on myself. I am a 25 y/o married mom. I have 2 WONDERFUL children of my own and 2 GREAT step children I call my own. They all 4 live with me, and my house is like a ZOO most of the time. But they are great. I want to pull my hair out and scream most of the time, but hey that comes along with it. I am married to my best friend, Donnie. He is amazing and has supported me in everything I choose to do.
I am BRAND new at this sewing stuff. I have LITERALLY only sewn 2 projects. My first one was 2 skirts for my girls, I just took some old jeans that were getting short on them and added some fabric to make a skirt. They turned out REALLY good considering. I don't have an up close pic of them but I do have some of the girls wearing them.

Don't they look so cute?
Then my 2nd project was the quilt top I have posted.
As my name says I am a nurse. I work in a nursing home. I love taking care of people, I guess you can say it's my calling.
I also love to make all kinds of stuff. I crochet, make hemp jewelry, and I'm trying my hand at hairbows as well!!!

If you all have any tips for me on how to sew (the RIGHT way since I'm teaching myself) I would appreciate it! I work a lot of hours, so I don't have A LOT of time to spend sewing like I would like, but I will be diving it as much as I possibly can. If you bear with me on this journey you might be surprised, I surprise myself a lot with stuff I can do decent. Sooo, with all that said, I will let you go for now, and I am going to start BASTING my quilt so I can actually QUILT it and say I made my first one!!!!
Also, what do you guys think of a.......
GIVEAWAY?
To get people to check me out??????  LET ME KNOW in the comments!
Edited to add: I WILL do a giveaway when I have 10 followers, then another at 25, and go from there, maybe I'll do a sewing kit, or fabric, or handmade jewelry, or well, guess you will just have to stick around to see!!!!

HOPE EVERYONE HAS A GREAT DAY!

Oh, I just read you are teaching yourself how to sew. If you have any questions, just ask. I will help you if I can! Good luck! Can't wait to see your first quilt!

You have another new follower! I've had a blog for a few months but it's been very quiet as far as followers go! My husband is a nursing home administrator so I know a lot about your job. I work in a hospital also. My kids both in college. If you ever need help with anything, let me know! Looking forward to following your blog! Your girls are adorable!
